The most important phase, the implementation of the E.I.A. process under Slovak conditions, will start after the enactment of the Act by National Council of the Slovak Republic of the EIA. The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic took it into account in the time of elaborating the draft of Act and it tried to create the best conditions for its implementation free of conflicts. The measures which have to be arranged before the Act would be enacted could be included into the following steps: – an institutional and organizing arrangement, – creating conditions for the establishing of the procedure of the transboundary impact assessment in line with the Espoo Convention requirements, – elaboration of manuals and guidelines, – verification of E.I.A. process on the chosen proposals in Slovakia, – arrangement of workshops, conferences and trainings for future subjects of the assessment process, – creating conditions for providing the information about the environment needed for the preparation of the documentation, – arrangement of the survey and saving of the EIA documentation, – creating, publishing, and actualization of the list of authorized persons, – arrangement of the independent checking the quality of EIS and evaluating of the process of E.I.A. implementation under Slovak conditions.
