Assessment of soil use in the landscape and evolution of degradation processes with regard to its quality remains the permanent societal need from the view of provision stability of landscape environment and human life conditions. Besides traditional methods of observation and assessment of soil cover properties there are real considerations of use the Remote sensing methods use. Use of satellite images is inseparable part of subsidy control system in agriculture as well as et identifying the extent of degradation processes in the landscape. Remote sensing methods are assumed to be used at determination of soil texture, soil moisture, soil organic matter content, salinity and soil surface roughness. Remote sensing methods in combination with field reconnaissance can contribute to the objective assessment of selected parameters in soil surface layer and offer spatial information with regard to soil use and its preservation against degradation.
