The paper presents the results of a study of the reaction of Carex pilosa Scop. species to the different ecological conditions in a submountain beech forest. The reaction was investigated through the analysis of selected eco-productive parameters (density, length, dry weight) and phenology of the studied species in areas representing different phytoclimatic conditions that have formed after anthropic intervention with varying intensity. Based on the research results we can conclude that different ecological conditions did not affect the onset and course of spring vegetative phenophases, until the onset of phenophases signaling the termination of the growing cycle (discoloration and plant death) as well as generative phenophases were significantly time-differentiated depending on the site conditions. Selected eco-production parameters almost always reached the highest values in populations growing on the plots without closed stands.
