The paradigm of socio-economic revitalization of anthropogenic affected area is characterized in this article, namely the example of Podkrušnohoří Area in the Czech Republic. It starts from the analysis of relevant regional disparities as well as consequent SWOT analysis. All the possible options of further development of service area, Chomutov, Most, Teplice and Ústí nad Labem districts, are being considered and evaluated on the basis of those analyses. These options should serve as a base for the Development principles and the Ground plan of given region formulations.
